POSCO Ask The Way To Global Logistics Innovation
[CLO] POSCO, a bidder for acquisition of Korea Express last year, recently opened a idea contest for logistics innovation targeting company staff and those of subsidiaries and subcontractors.
POSCO is known to be running GLI(Global Logistics Innovation) promotion team. More specifically, the company is in the process of actualizing logistics innovation such as exploitation of inbound transport route for raw materials like iron ore in co-operation with Daewoo Int'l and Daewoo Logistics.
The contents include every idea with regards to cutting down logistics cost for POSCO and its subsidiaries, contributing to profitability through improvement of logistics efficiency and synergy generation.
POSCO staff mentioned "Synergy escalation at an POSCO family level has been motivated by the chairman's(Mr. Jung Jun Yang) determination that new revenue sources should be found via integrating large-volume cargoes of family companies with logistics base and infrastructure.
