Korean Register of Shipping(KR) signed a service partnership agreement with Russian Maritime Register of Shipping(RS).

Dr. Oh Kong Gyun(a CEO of KR) and Mr. Mikhail Ibasov(a CEO of RS) agreed and signed to provide maritime industry with high quality service through close co-operation between two organizations, both of which are full members of International Association of Classification Societies (IACS).

The main content of the agreement covers △co-operation in recruitment of inspectors and training △use of overseas network △a study on the support of shipping companies and shipowners regarding use of North Pole Route △contribution to IACS's Common Structural Rules(CSR) combining advantages and competences of both parties △continuous interchanges through seminars and regular visits.

Mr. Ibasov said "This agreement will help reinforce positive relationships with KR. We will work hard each other so that our co-operative partnership can be sustained a long time."

Dr. Oh also commented "By co-operation with RS, we expect better service to the customers in the world as well as technical development."
